Join the poets behind Boshemia and Sans Merci Magazine for an evening of poetry in honor of National Poetry Month. After featured readings, Four Seasons will welcome the community to read their work.
Join E and other activists in a panel discussion on art as political protest. E will discuss independent publishing and zine-making as political resistance.
Hosted by Nottingham Writers’ Studio, Boshemia and Dizzy Ink joined forces to create this nostalgia-themed zine-making workshop. From writing exercises, 1-1 conferences, and a crash course in creative collaboration, Boshemia led a group of 15 writers through writing, designing, and curating a zine. Using RISO print making and cut + paste processes, Dizzy Ink designed and printed a gorgeous 16 page zine.
Four Seasons Books and E presented an afternoon of poetry readings in honor of Pride Month and the release of the latest issue of Boshemia Magazine. Bodies & Pride featured the work of queer and femme-identifying poets: Elisha Pidcock, Anna See Jachowski, Taylor Wear, Katie Quinnelly, Kylie Krummel Bowers, and Eileen Elizabeth.
Q & L joined team with Five Leaves bookstore in Nottingham to celebrate the launch of Issue 03: POWER. Featuring discussions about feminism, print media, body positivity and late capitalism, Q & L shared some magazine readings, and enjoyed a fab Q&A from the inquisitive Nottingham audience.
Raw Print Live was a monthly event collaborating with Ideas On Paper, where they look at the exciting and dynamic nature of magazine making. With different speakers for each event, they aim to open your eyes into the endless possibilities of the publishing and magazine-making world - whether you're a maker, buyer, or simply love the printed page.
Sarah Q joined Omnom Magazine to talk about independent magazine making and Print. Q discussed how indie print and zine culture has always been one of the tenants of feminism, and how Boshemia aim to continue this legacy.
Boshemia founders gave a talk on 21st century feminism to the Edinburgh Radical Book Fair.
