61 Aesthetics Presents: Metamorphosis

A visual and narrative exploration of Cassidy Brown’s transformative journey, by 61 Aesthetics.

Cassidy Brown’s story is one of bold self-reclamation—a transformation rendered through the lens of Melbourne-based studio 61 Aesthetics. Guided by the direction of Vasilisa Sugak and the eye of Robert Moore, Metamorphosis is both a fashion story and a meditation on identity, resilience, and rebirth.

61 Aesthetics is a Melbourne-based creative space exploring the intersections of art, fashion, and visual storytelling. What follows is a visual narrative and story created by Vasilisa Sugak, Robert Moore, and Cassidy Brown.

Metamorphosis

No matter how far you are from yourself, your true self is always there.

Sometimes hidden in the shadows, sometimes drowned out by others’ expectations, but never gone.

It follows you, even when you don’t allow
it to exist.

As you search for yourself, it becomes harder to fit the mold. Life turns into a performance.

Allowing yourself to question, to ask ‘What if?’ - that alone is an act of bravery.

When the world is full of standards, expectations, and anger, daring to look within and wonder if the story you’ve been told is true.

But it doesn’t mean rejecting complexity. It means claiming the right to be yourself.

You say goodbye to some things. You find others.

All that searching and questioning leads to one thing - wholeness.

Not a new self, not a different self, but the self that was always there. Steady. Unshaken. Free.

We don’t claim to tell our friend’s story for them. We wanted to tell this story to support them in their inspiring journey - and to reach anyone standing at a similar crossroads. Anyone feeling lost, afraid, unsure.

Being yourself is vital. Taking the first step toward self-acceptance is everything.
